Throughout September 2021, at the Visual Arts Centre of Clarington, Waard Ward collective offered a series of workshops to Arabic-speaking refugees and newcomers to develop flower-arranging skills.

Artist Nicolas Fleming designed and built a site and project-specific environment for Waard Waard's floristry workshop series, in response to Waard Ward's desire for a space that embodied co-learning and collaboration. Floral arrangements by workshop participants were displayed, with new flowers added and vessels continuously re-arranged weekly.

Flowers were grown locally in Whitby, Ontario by Posy Gang and ceramic vessels were designed and created by Frances Thelma Sauer Lorenz.
